WHAT IS THE 5K ZOMBIE MUD RUN?
Buckelew Farm presents the 2019 5k Zombie Mud Run! A fun mud run for all seeking a muddy good time. Zombies have infiltrated the Buckelew Farm and it is your job as the living, to escape the mud and obstacles with all your limbs (flags) intact. You will have 2 limbs for the taking! Compete with the elite in the individual and team heats or walk, run, jog or drag yourself through the mud and obstacles in the team and individual noncompetitive events! New this year…. The Little Monster Mud Run! Kids under age 12 can run, walk or jog through an obstacle course approximately 1 mile long! Full of mud and in front of cheering fans, and a few zombies! Kids must run accompanied by an adult.
THE LIVING HUMAN (5K ZOMBIE MUD RUN RUNNER)
If you choose the path of the living, you are choosing to run for your life (or limbs). The living will then choose to participate as an elite runner or noncompetitive runner!
SO, YOU BOUGHT A TICKET TO RUN THE 5K…. NOW WHAT?
- Arrive 2 hours prior your scheduled run time.
- Any minor participating in the 5k Zombie Mud Run must have a parent present and liability waiver signed.
- Minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- How to survive? Find the check in stations and pick up your limbs. Get ready to get dirty!
- It is ok to skip obstacles and water pools; however, you will be ineligible to win. Yes, there will be water! You should know how to swim for best results and survival!
- There will be an area to spray off the mud!
- Check your keys at the key check! Key check is just for keys, additional personal items should be left in your vehicle.
- WHAT TO BRING: ID, a change of clothes, money for: food, drinks, souvenirs, your Terror in the Corn ticket, and a camera for all the amazing memories you will make!
- DO NOT BRING: pets of any kind, valuables, weapons of any kind, drugs, alcohol or anyone under the influence.
- We shouldn’t have to say it…. but we do…. if you appear to be intoxicated or under the influence Buckelew Farm has the right to not allow participation in events. Safety first!
- Be creative and show up in costume! Create a theme for your team with awesome attire! Will you be best dressed? Remember you are running in the mud! Appropriate footwear is a must!
- Get ready for the Best Zombie Mud Run in the Southwest!

- SEE THE RULES SECTION FOR COMPLETE DETAILS. ALL LIMBS (FLAGS) AND BIB MUST BE VISABLE AT ALL TIMES.
- WHAT IF ALL YOUR LIMBS HAVE BEEN EATEN BY ZOMBIES? Its ok! Keep going!
- After the race there is live entertainment, food, drinks in the beer garden and of course The Terror in the Corn (sold separately).
- Those participating in The Little Monster Mud Run are encouraged to buy tickets prior to race day to guarantee their headband and medal. Pre-registration packet pick up is not available for kids participating in the Little Monster Mud Run. Just buy your ticket online, put it in a safe place and we will see you on race day!
Waivers:
- Participation waivers must be filled out online prior to the checkout process. If purchasing a team all members must print waiver and turn in at race day registration. No waiver=automatically eaten by a zombie.
Team tickets:
- One person from your team purchases a team ticket package available at www.buckelewfarm.com. From there, everyone signs their waiver, plans awesome attire and starts their race training. Waivers can also be turned in at packet pickup prior to race day:
Refunds:
- At this time, there are no refunds/exchanges or transfers. If you cannot complete the course there are no refunds.
- If Buckelew Farm is forced to cancel the race due to extreme weather conditions (ie. Severe lightning), the race will be rescheduled to the following weekend.
THE LITTLE MONSTER MUD RUN
So, if you are under the age of 12, an adult says its ok, and you are brave enough to be in the Buckelew Farm Little Monster Mud Run we have some fun for you! What do you need to do to get in on the action? Convince a parent to run with you and sign up online (no they don’t have to pay for a ticket to this one… just you!)!
- Those participating in The Little Monster Mud Run are encouraged to buy tickets prior to race day to guarantee their headband and medal. Pre-registration packet pick up is not available for kids participating in the Little Monster Mud Run. Just buy your ticket online, put it in a safe place and we will see you on race day!
- Show up 1 hours prior to your race time.
- Arrive dressed up in your most creative costume or outfit! Have fun getting ready to run in the mud! Appropriate footwear is required. No costume props allowed. We will have a costume contest!
- Check in at the LITTLE MONSTER MUD RUN registration area. There you will pick up your headband and drink ticket (juice or kids water).
- Get ready for the most fun you will have this Halloween season! Jump, roll and run through the obstacles and mud to the finish line! Win a medal and some awesome bragging rights!
- WHAT TO BRING: one parent that is participating with you, awesome mud run attire, a change of clothes, towel and your parent’s money for souvenirs after your run!
- WHAT NOT TO BRING: a pet of any kind, a bad attitude or flip flops.
- Note: Please visit www.buckelewfarm.com for additional festival information and event details. The Terror in the Corn Haunted Cornfield (sold separately) is not recommended for anyone under the age of 12. It is up to the parent to make the decision to purchase a ticket to this attraction. No refunds are given to those who are too afraid to enter or have to exit prior to completing the haunted corn field. The Buckelew Farm Corn Maze is open to all ages even after dark (Sold separately). The Flashlight Nights Corn Maze is amazingly fun and other than the dark, it is not scary or “haunted”. Free maze game cards available with ticket purchase! Flashlights and appropriate footwear recommended.
